Clause Compare

Back to Help Center

Robin AI enables you to compare how you have negotiated the same clause across different contracts. This can be very useful to instantly how the clause has been negotiated differently and to compare that against the standard wording of the clause.

How do I use the Clause Compare feature?

To start this process, follow the steps below:

  1. Identify a specific clause that you would like to compare across different contracts. This will become your Base Clause.
    • You can do this by using natural language search to find a specific clause, or by using the filters to find a specific type of clause. Your results will be listed on the left side with a preview of the contract on the right.
    • Click the dropdown button next to the contract’s name to reveal the clauses labelled.
    • Click on the specific clause you would like to compare.
  2. Now that the Base Clause has been identified, click on Compare Clause to the right of the selected clause.
  3. The following page will show you the Base Clause, total number of variations of the clause, and the number of instances that a variation against the standard wording was found. As Robin AI uses redline here, you will be able to easily identify how a clause has been negotiated across different contracts of the same type.
    • If you’d like to hide the redlines for a cleaner review, you can click the toggle switch next to Clean Version.
  4. You can compare clauses by either similarity or frequency by toggling between the two modes. To do this, click the dropdown button to the left of the Clean Version.
    • The frequency sorting displays clauses from most to least occurring, while the similarity sorting organises clauses based on how similar they are to each other.
  5. You can click on the number of instances to see the different contracts where that variation of the clause was found. You can jump into a specific contract for further analysis by clicking on the links provided.
  6. You can download a report that contains all the different variations of this clause. To do this, click on the Export button in the right-hand corner of the left side bar (next to the # or Results). This will provide you with all the information about the clauses and the variations in a CSV format for further analysis.
